The Laundry Distributor delivers and picks up linen throughout the campus.

Responsibilities

  • Transports clean linen from the delivery truck to linen department.
  • Transports exchange carts to and from the linen department to all departments throughout the campus.
  • Performs quality inspection of linen for stains and tears.
  • Picks up soiled linen and transports to the truck for pick up area.
  • Assists cleaning of work areas, sweeping and dusting.
  • Prepares exchange and PAR carts for same and future shifts.
  • Wears proper attire or equipment in units/ departments as required by each area. 
  • Separates, folds and packs scrubs for delivery to ScrubEx machines.
  • Delivers and loads all ScrubEx machines as needed.
  • Utilizes Scrubex and Linen Helper applications  monitors and updates status of distribution and to maintain proper inventory amounts.
  • Performs any other patient related job duties as needed.
  • PARS linen carts on units/ departments as necessary.
  • Answers phones, faxes as necessary.
  • Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Centers Organizational Competencies.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
  • Work every other weekend and 3/6 holidays.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • 3 to 5 years customer service experience.
  • Experience in a laundry or hotel setting.
