Overview

The position provides evidence-based neuropsychological assessment, treatment, and care services for individuals and families within the Southern Region of HMH. The candidate will work primarily through the outpatient Neuropsychology Clinic, but inpatient/rehabilitation evaluations may also be required. Research and didactic opportunities will also be available. Academic appointment is available through the Hackensack Meridian Health School of Medicine. The position reports to the Director of Medical Psychology as a Division within the Department of Neurology.

Responsibilities

1. Diagnose, treat, and document per HMH standards of care.

2. Work with the Director of Neuropsychology to provide excellent patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

3. Collaborate with other Neuroscience personnel to facilitate transdisciplinary team function to maximize diagnostic accuracy and positive treatment outcomes for all patients.

4. Develop/maintain collaborative relationships with existing and potential Neuroscience, HMH and community referral sources, and community-based organizations serving the target population.

5. Support HMH culture.

6. Provide clinical supervision to staff and trainees to assure consistent high-quality service provision across HMH Central and Southern Region continuum of care (all appropriate settings, all appropriate ages, all appropriate diagnoses).

7. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. 8. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. PhD/PsyD in Clinical Psychology through APA accredited clinical program (with an accredited clinical internship)

2. Completion of a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology consistent with the Houston Conference Guidelines

3. Experience with neuropsychological assessment tools

4. Able to perform comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological assessments and develop and implement appropriate care plans.

5. Eligible for faculty appointment at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine

6. Possessing the vision and experience to work with Medical Center goals in a managed care environment.

 

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Licenses and Certifications Required:

1. Psychologist License.

2. Board-certified in Clinical Neuropsychology or board-eligible with the expectation to attain board certification within 3 years from date of hire. 15 years of experience or greater in the field is an exception.

Starting Minimum Rate

Starting at $124,571.20 Annually

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
