Overview

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks qualified Physician (MD/DO) or Advanced Practice Provider candidates for multiple Bioethicist/Clinician positions

This position is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and growing Bioethics program.


The qualified candidate is a Physician or Advanced Practice Provider qualified for clinical practice in New Jersey with graduate-level knowledge in clinical ethics and minimum of 2 years of bioethics experience.

 

The Bioethicist/Clinician will divide their time between clinical work in their specialty and clinical ethics consultation and education. The ideal candidate will contribute to the mission of the growing HMH Bioethics program to create an environment where all clinical, administrative, academic, and research activities reflect HMH’s values of quality, integrity, professionalism, teamwork, and communication.

 

This is an outstanding opportunity for junior faculty to develop their expertise in bioethics. The Bioethicist/Clinicians will join the Hackensack Meridian Health Bioethics program, which is led by the network Vice President and includes three Directors, who lead bioethics initiatives in their region of the HMH Network.

 

Faculty appointment at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine will be considered for qualified candidates.

 

 

Responsibilities

Opportunity Information

Report to the Hackensack Meridian Health Network Vice President, Bioethics and Clinical Leadership.

Perform clinical work in an individual's clinical specialty.

Perform bioethics consultation services at HMH institutions to address ethical dilemmas that arise in the care of specific patients.

Collaborate on quality initiatives in clinical bioethics.

Participate in educational programs and bioethics rotations for students and residents.

Qualifications

 

Requirements:

1. MD/DO, APN or PA

2. Licensed Independent Practitioner qualified for clinical practice in New Jersey.

3. Graduate-level knowledge of bioethics principles and concepts and their practical application in the

clinical setting.

4. Minimum of 2 years bioethics experience
