The E S Aide I performs a variety of cleaning tasks in order to maintain a clean environment for School, Research, Visitors and Staff at the Nutley Campus.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of an E S Aide I at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Maintains all floors surfaces.
  • Performs repetitive cleaning operations throughout the work day under specific instructions with little need for individual judgment in working out job problems.
  • Works with frequent contact with water and cleaning solutions.
  • Moves furniture as required.
  • Lifts a minimum of 50 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 50 lbs. and stands a minimum of length of shift.
  • Adheres to the standards identified by the Facilities Department at the Roche Nutley Campus.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs
  • Strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers
  • Exceptional focus on teamwork
  • Ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Previous Environmental Service or Housekeeping experience
  • High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
