Performs a variety of administrative tasks including responsibility for logs. As team leader, monitors staff performance. May perform a variety of housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of an Environmental Aide Team Lead at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Monitors that staff sign both manually and electronically into the logs at appropriate times. Monitors and observes staff performance on tasks and reports results to management.
  • Liaison between Hospitality and department floors. Constantly maintains contact with the Call center to resolve urgent issues in areas around the facility (pager & phone). Follows up with appropriate department and Hospitality management to ensure satisfied completion.
  • Must maintain the log for at least one of the following: projects, supplies, and OR Terminal Cleaning.
  • May perform a variety of housekeeping tasks: Including confidentials emptying and trash; Sweeping, Mopping; Changing curtains, Discharge Cleaning
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs or related work experience.
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a commercial or hospital environment.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping floor care and assorted cleaning equipment.
