The Construction/Mac/Cabling Analyst I works with team on project coordination and oversight of construction related activities for new builds, general capital projects as well as moves, adds and changes. This will include the ownership of project design, project scope, timeline, bill of material and budget. Ensure IT and construction standards are followed. Help teams perform quality audits, punch lists and ensure issues are re-mediated before the vendors are released from the project. Interface with key internal stakeholders to obtain their requirements and drive vendors to adhere to these key elements. Understand the technical requirements of our engineering and IT teams and ensure the completed project meets these requirements. Understand network deployment types and insure that diversity requirements that are required are met. Program coordination, risk mitigation and reporting status reviews to management and internal customers. Handles basic to moderately complex issues and problems, referring only more complex issues to a higher level.

 

Up to 100% on-site requirement. Work location will vary based on assigned projects. Locations will be assigned based on region covered.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Construction/Mac/Cabling Analyst I  at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Help plan and manage successfully relocations.
  • Ensure client satisfaction throughout the relocation management process.
  • Help team develop and implement relocation project plan, schedule and budget through collaboration with the facility, project and construction managers and adhere to it.
  • Help maintain project schedules.
  • Provide a single point of contact for all move management activities.
  • Participate in planning meetings.
  • Prepare/update project status reports, review invoices, update tracking reports.
  • Attend meetings to review move schedules with move vendors and key stakeholders.
  • Help team manage supporting suppliers (technology, telephony, furniture, etc.).
  • Evaluate vendors to ensure compliance with the standards of performance.
  • Work with team to ensure project initiation; execution and closeout documentation is complete. 
  • Coordinate with various service providers (internal and external) to determine the appropriate date(s) for implementation and communicate those dates.
  • Help team plan, schedule and implement relocations, providing the main client contact with scheduled dates, move instructions, and move orientations for large groups as required.
  • Complete assigned tickets within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Work with team to maintain team documentation.
  • Low voltage cabling or internal IT/networking departments. Provide detailed information regarding cabling installations. Assure work is completed according to plan and all parties involved are communicated to before, during and after the project is complete.
  • Willing to travel 50-75% of the time within the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) Network.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • AS and/or equivalent 2 years of experience in Business Management, IT or other IT/Health field.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems design and management.
  • Excellent computer skills in: MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • AS in Business Management, IT or other IT/Health field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Project Coordination or MAC.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

  • Certified Project Management Professional (CPMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
