The Information Technology (IT) Solutions Analyst is responsible for matching potential technology solutions with defined business needs for incoming IT project requests for the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) network. Provides quick response to business partners and facilitates getting the correct information for the Project Intake Process by working with the operational requestors, internal Information Technology (IT) division team members, and outside vendors. This includes ensuring that sufficient information regarding the high level project scope and level of effort is collected to allow requests to be reviewed by the appropriate governance team for approval, rejection, or additional scoping.

 

This position is a hybrid opportunity and can require being onsite anywhere up to 25% at any Hackensack Meridian Health location as needed. 

Responsibilities

A day in the life of an IT Solutions Analyst with Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  •  Liaise between the IT division, business and clinical operational areas, and technology vendors.
  •  Understand current technology portfolio and standards across the network.
  •  Recognize the need to develop a new technology standard.
  •  Analyze business needs to understand requested project scope.
  •  Assess IT resource needs and level of effort to support requested project scope.
  •  Collaborate with Business Analyst to develop high level project cost information to inform the appropriate IT governing bodies.
  •  Analyze the design of technical systems and business models.
  •  Match technological solutions to business needs.
  •  Produce reports on project intake queues and escalate as needed to eliminate delays in the intake process.
  •  Analyze data to inform business decisions.
  •  Assist with preparing and delivering project request presentations to appropriate IT governing bodies.
  •  Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  •  Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  •  Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, management information systems, or other related field; or equivalent relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  •  Minimum of 3 years of proven business analyst experience with a focus on project intake, resource estimation, demand management, project scoping or requirements definition.
  •  Experience in facilitation of meetings related to project definition, reviews, decision-making, and other project related topics.
  •  Working experience with deployments of production business or clinical applications, including in-house applications and third-party SaaS applications.
  •  Experience with vendor management and communication.
  •  Strong communication and presentation skills (oral and written) to shape messages to the appropriate level of audience.
  •  Excellent problem-solving ability and critical thinking skills.
  •  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  •  Ability to understand complex business flows.
  •  Ability to communicate complex technical information in an easy-to-understand way.
  •  Strong organizational and project definition/scoping skills.

 

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  •  Experience in the Healthcare industry.
  •  Experience with researching technology solutions.
  •  Knowledge and ability to effectively utilize project portfolio management tools and Microsoft Office and/or Google Workplace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms).
  •  Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

 

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

  •  PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) or equivalent certification.

Starting Minimum Rate

Starting at $82,513.60 Annually

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
