Overview

The per diem Nurse Practitioner at Old Bridge Medical Center delivers primary health care based on individual credentialing. Acute care clinical experience needed.

Responsibilities

1. Provision of health care across the health care continuum for the promotion of health, prevention of disease, and the early detection and management of episodic symptoms of acute and chronic health problems. 2. Elicits a complete medical history and documents appropriately in the progress notes. 3. Conducts an appropriate physical exam and documents appropriately in the progress notes. 4. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (As permitted from credential committee). 5. Orders and interprets diagnostic testing as indicated by patient¿s health care needs. 6. Devises and implements a patient management plan in direct consultation with physician. 7. Orders pharmacologic agents in direct consultation with physician (as detailed by credentials and privileges). 8. Provides competent assessment, treatment and/or care to patients appropriate for the individualized and developmental needs for the ages of those patients served. 9. Participates as an active member of the multidisciplinary team cooperating in the planning and development of patient care needs and program needs. 10. Serves as an active member on Medical Center Committees as appointed or assigned. 11. Attends monthly department and division meetings. 12. Participates in the weekly multidisciplinary patient care team meetings. 13. Participates in regional planning activities as needed for the for the AIDS Education Program and may act as a RBMC representative in decisions which are necessary for program development and implementation. 14. Participation in the socialization and education of program participants seeking HIV/AIDS clinical experiences, didactic programs and community awareness events. 15. Supervises clinical performance and interventions of training Health care professionals assigned to the HIV Service. 16. Acts as a resource person within own areas of specialty for both hospital and community-based providers of health Services. 17. Supervises curriculum development for the AIDS Education and Training Program. 18. Will review, edit, and produce educational templates for future professional education programming to be provided by the AIDS Education Program at RBMC. 19. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. 20. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Masters Degree in Nursing. 2. Advanced Practice Nurse National Certification; 3. Unrestricted license to practice in New Jersey. Eligible for credentialing and Appointment to Medical Associate Staff. 4. 3 to 5 Years Acute care experience. 5. One year experience as Nurse Practitioner. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 7 Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms 8. acute care clinical experience
Licenses and Certifications Required: 1. NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License. 2. Advanced Practice Nurse Cetification (w/ Master's Degree).

Starting Minimum Rate

Starting at $56.44 Hourly
