Reporting to the Vice President, the Content Marketing Manager manages the execution of the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) content marketing strategy across all channels, including traditional and digital formats, for external audiences. Crucial in supporting overall HMH marketing and communications goals.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Manager, Content Marketing at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Implement a content strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business objectives, driving consumer engagement, leads, and ROI.
  • Conduct ongoing research and analysis to identify trends, audiences, and opportunities in the content landscape.
  • Oversee the creation and production of high-quality content across all channels, including website, email, podcast, and print.
  • Establish goals, metrics, and deliverables to measure the effectiveness of the content program.
  • Execute complex media plans across multiple channels (traditional and digital).
  • Develop comprehensive campaigns that include creative and compelling written and visual communications for a variety of audiences and channels.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, video producers, analysts, and digital leads to ensure brand-compliant projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Oversee the management of multiple, complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maximize existing talent by providing counsel, leadership, guidance, and direction and assisting in the development of an organizational culture appropriate to support the mission.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, HMH Compliance Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
  • Manage and oversee team performance through performance planning, coaching, and performance appraisals. Hold direct reports accountable for managing and developing their assignments to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Anticipate and act on emerging healthcare trends to position the system for the future, in conjunction with other system leaders.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a related function.
  • Experience managing personnel directly or indirectly.
  • Understanding of best practices in Search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Must be able to work quickly under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to set clear goals and execute projects from start to finish.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external partners.
  • Deep knowledge of digital writing and editing that is aligned with best practices in user experience, user design, and heuristic analysis.
  • A good understanding of how to use analytical tools to best develop and deploy content that resonates with audiences.
  • Project management skills with proven ability to manage projects on time and on budget that require multiple layers of service providers, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operations management skills with proven ability to identify, collect, and analyze operations performance data, market research data, and other related data to improve performance.
  • Ability to be a steward of the culture by demonstrating and role modeling leadership behaviors.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated, resourceful professional capable of independent function in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

  • Proven innovator in content strategy.
  • Natural ability to adapt to new digital technologies.
  • Passion for creating engaging and impactful content that drives conversions.

Starting Minimum Rate

Starting at $131,144.00 Annually

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
