The Manager, IT Revenue Cycle will provide leadership, oversight, evaluation and direction for the revenue cycle at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) to achieve revenue goals. Responsible for all aspects of revenue cycle systems (functional, operational and procedural) supported by Information Technology (IT). Effectively allocates resources and provides expertise on revenue cycle system related projects.

 

We are looking for candidates that have Epic certifications in HIM modules and proven experience in a leadership role. Epic HIM modules can be in:  HIM Coding, HIM Deficiency Tracking, HIM Release of Information, HIM identity, experience with Solventim (3M) code and/or Onbase. In this role, you will oversees the project management cycle for HIM application implementation, maintenance and support processes. 

 

This is a remote position where you will need to be onsite every Tuesday in the Edison, NJ office.

 

 

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Manager, IT Revenue Cycle at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Ability to meet deadlines and lead projects from inception to successful implementation.
  • Will manage strategic initiatives and coordinate simultaneous enhancement projects
  • Manage the technical team responsible for maintenance of Epic applications.
  • Works with the HMH revenue cycle leaders to identify current and future information needs and opportunities.
  • Manages the project team through the design, build and implementation phases of the Revenue Cycle projects.
  • Manages end users in their requirements analysis, planning, selection, design, implementation and support of core systems in support of HMH strategic goals.
  • Manages upgrades/enhancements, consulting resources and general operations as related to revenue cycle/billing information systems.
  • Manages the development of detailed project plans and schedules for revenue cycle/billing information systems implementations, upgrades, and manage analyst and programming staff efforts to accomplish these objectives.
  • Ensures the daily management, coordination, development, selection, and operation of all revenue cycle application-based Service Level agreements (SLA's).
  • Troubleshoots with end users and coordinates revenue cycle/billing information systems activities with other members of management to ensure user needs are met with no interruption to end users departments and core processes.
  • Teaches, advocates, and mentors staff on how to apply revenue cycle/billing information systems standards, tools, and methodologies while delivering high quality, business-focused customer service.
  • Manage ongoing productivity improvement, cost effectiveness, and total quality management of revenue cycle/billing information systems throughout HMH through the use of applications software.
  • Maintains and manage integrity of the revenue cycle/billing information systems project management process incorporating all HMH approved methodologies.
  • Manage documentation of the current revenue/billing information systems environment and ensures that departmental policies and procedures are maintained.
  • Adheres to the standards identified in the HMH Organizational and Managerial Competencies.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration or closely related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
  • Three or more years of related experience in a management position.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Epic revenue Cycle in a similar working environment.
  • Epic systems software experience, with usage and implementations of Epic system and technology components, including Epic Cadence, Epic Prelude and Epic Resolute Hospital and Professional Billing.
  • Three or more years of progressive experience managing Revenue Cycle Systems design, programming, selection, and implementation in a complex health care environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry financial statistical indicators.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration or closely related discipline.
  • Previous experience managing and Epic implementation highly desirable.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

  • Certification in Epic HIM modules in one or more of the following: HIM Coding, HIM Deficiency Tracking, HIM Release of Information, HIM identity, experience with Solventim (3M) code and/or Onbase desired.

Starting Minimum Rate

Starting at $153,732.80 Annually

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
