A Manager, Regional Quality, TOC  will be assigned a region and be responsible for the performance for the teams at each location. The regional leader will partner with site leaders to ensure new team members on the respective units are educated and trained on all program initiatives. This position requires understanding specific metrics and leading the teams by providing education and resources needed for optimal performance. The leader will also perform clinical functions at the bedside for their patient population to support the teams. The leader will maintain an effective communication process to keep everyone informed and provide regional updates to the corporate team.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Manager, Regional Quality, TOC at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Develop a clear understanding of the program and population being served
  • Follows a specific workflow for patient care, identifies opportunity for improvement, and takes the initiative to improve processes as need arises.
  • Develops and maintains close relationships with community agencies, referral resources, and subcontractors to maintains a resource guide for patient referrals
  • Identifies risks for readmissions and develops individualized interventions for each patient.
  • Monitors team documentation quality and compliance, timely transmission of electronic health records, compliance with job functions, and program quality metrics.
  • Completes audits, data analysis, tracks and trends areas of improvement specific to quality metrics .
  • Manages staffing schedules and ensures regional coverage by rotating team members across the region.
  • Conduct regular case conferences/team meetings with staff. Keep staff informed. Perform supervisory visits within organization and regulatory requirements. Match client with staff according to needs, territories, client loads and clinical skills.
  • Participate with recruitment and orientation of staff to assure appropriate staffing, maintain vacancy, and turnover metrics at established goals.
  • Meet the needs of the staff (e.g. educational, training, reinforcements). Support staff¿s understanding of practice standards, regulatory policies and organization policies. Assure staff are compliant with all mandatory in-services.
  • Recognize patient/client grievances and interact appropriately with the customer in a constructive way. Assure customer satisfaction is at or above benchmarks.
  • Recognize team member issues/concerns and respond and interact professionally with team members to resolve issues/concerns. Assure turnover rates are above or below benchmark.
  • Remain available to clinicians after hours for concerns/questions in emergency situations.
  • Actively participates in corporate and state level meetings keeping the corporate and local teams up to date.
  • Monitors deadline for data collection and submission as dictated by government agencies
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Masters degree in Nursing, Social work, Public Health, or other health related fields 
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of management experience

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Bilingual
  • Experience with Google and 

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License or NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker or NJ Licensed Social Worker.

Starting Minimum Rate

Starting at $111,924.80 Annually

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
