The Patient Navigator, Breast Surg is an advocate and educator for the breast patient, as well as family members through the breast care/cancer continuum.

 

A day in the life of a Patient Navigator, Breast Surgery at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
• Provides education and educational resources to patients and their families.
• Supports the patient and family in coping with the psychological aspects of breast cancer.
• Coordinates appointments with providers for timely delivery of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
• Refers as appropriate to collaborative care areas.
• Eliminates barriers for patients to optimize care.
• Provides community education to raise public awareness.

• RN, (Associates, Diploma, BSN)
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License
• 5 years nursing experience in related field (surgery/oncology)
• Good computer skills
• Certified Breast Patient Navigator in Breast Imaging and Cancer Care preferred 

Starting at $111,924.80 Annually

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
