The Digital Technology Services (DTS) Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in the DTS department and serve as a strategic thought partner by leveraging analytics, operational acumen, and exceptional communication skills to drive performance and digital transformation at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). Responsible for crafting actionable insights from data, guiding high-impact strategic initiatives, and serving as a liaison across the DTS teams. A key focus includes building strong relationships, internal communication frameworks, promoting clarity, transparency, and alignment within a healthcare Information Technology (IT) environment.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of an Digital Technology Services (DTS) Senior Business Analyst at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Lead the development of dashboards and reports that support executive decision-making and cross-functional planning.
  • Conduct predictive and scenario-based modeling to inform resourcing planning and operational readiness.
  • Identify patterns and inefficiencies within the DTS operations and recommend improvements that align with departmental and organizational objectives. 
  • Document, analyze, and redesign internal processes to enhance operational efficiency and technology adoption.
  • Collaborate with project teams and internal DTS leadership to ensure strategic initiatives are data-informed and outcomes-driven.
  • Partner with DTS leaders on strategic planning, synthesizing operational data into compelling and forward-looking insights.
  • Develop and monitor the department's strategy framework to ensure DTS goals, updates, and metrics are conveyed across teams and leadership.
  • Author internal reporting, executive summaries, and presentations that translate operational updates into actionable narratives.
  • Support organizational change by ensuring timely and transparent communication of initiatives and expected outcomes.
  • Represent DTS in cross-departmental working groups, steering committees, and strategic discussions. 
  • Assist with strategic DTS communication planning and work with organizational partners to facilitate the communication needs of DTS-related matters (i.e. downtime, upgrades, action alerts) impacting the wider organization. 
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned. 
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or other relevant area of study.
  • Minimum of 3 or more years of experience with data analysis and modeling, preferably within business operations, healthcare, or IT.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the organization¿s core business processes and operations.
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis and methodology development.
  • Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Exceptional analytical and statistical skills with the ability to apply them as required.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into issues as required. 
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
  • Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Google Workspace skills. 
  • Passion for the intersection between healthcare, technology, and analytics.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations.

Starting Minimum Rate

Starting at $95,555.20 Annually

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
