The Opportunity, Belonging, & Impact Partner develops and executes the OBI strategies and projects in alignment with the Chief Opportunity, Belonging and Impact Officer and reports to the Director, OBI. The Opportunity, Belonging, & Impact Partner works with local sites to help to establish goals and interventions based on business objectives. The Opportunity, Belonging, & Impact Partner delivers customized OBI solutions based on best practices and establishes consistent framework, tools, and resources. The Opportunity, Belonging, & Impact Partner  supports the assessment, design, implementation, and evaluation of OBI solutions. ​They will address gaps in patient outcomes and support Care for All / Wellbeing initiatives.
 
This position is hybrid and will spend time at our Edison office as well as at our HMH locations across the NJ region.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Opportunity, Belonging, & Impact Partner at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

 

  • Drive organizational and business unit improvements through implementation and support of the HMH OBI strategy.
  • Coaches site leadership to ensure implementation and integration of OBI strategic initiatives at the site level.
  • Researches, designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates training programs to TMs, leaders, and executives.
  • Increases cultural awareness and sensitivity and reduces the likelihood of discriminatory behavior or civil rights violations.
  • Implements and maintains an OBI Academy database of all course descriptions, learning objectives, and reference materials for new TMs highlighting the role and value of OBI efforts and programs to meet organizational objectives.
  • Documents training, assesses effectiveness and progress, reports on progress, and makes changes to training as needed.
  • Administers employment practices that ensure equal employment opportunities that fosters an environment where everyone feels they belong and have the opportunity to contribute and thrive.
  • Compiles and submits reports detailing employment statistics to governing bodies as required.
  • Works with recruiting and talent management functions to implement strategies for recruiting a talented workforce
  • Investigates discrimination or harassment complaints or grievances and presents findings to management.
  • Oversight for Team Member Resource Groups (TMRGs).
  • Serves as the coordinator and advisor to the Site Care for all JC Workgroup and Care for All Committee by assisting councils with guidance and support.
  • Assist with attracting TM participation into TMRGs, ensuring activity alignment, and making creative suggestions to improve the value of TMRGs to system wide goals and objectives.
  • Serves as the coordinator and advisor to TMRG executives champions and participants.
  • Project lead for designated surveys for current hospitals supporting leadership teams with benchmarking and improvement efforts.
  • Maintains master project schedules and updates on all key initiatives to ensure timely completion.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Coordinates all meeting and training arrangements (room set up and break down, catering, receptions, transportation, training materials, participant scheduling, announcements, reminders, supplier contracts and onsite support, etc.) for the OBI department's functions.
  • Attends selected OBI-led programs, dinners, and receptions to support coordination of meeting details.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's level degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
  • Expertise in OBI approaches and solutions.
  • Strong consulting skills to uncover business needs, make recommendations, and develop solutions.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Planning skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Problem/situation analysis.
  • Conceptual thinking skills.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Master's level degree or equivalent.
  • Prior healthcare experience.
  • Experience with Performance Improvement tools.
  • Project Management skills.

Starting Minimum Rate

Starting at $95,555.20 Annually

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
