The Clinical Marketing Liaison acts as a liaison to area mental health and addiction providers and provides rapid response for referral inquiries from hospital case managers, outpatient centers and other designated providers including employee assistance professionals, student assistant counselors, human resources professionals, businesses, industry, unions, physicians, psychologists and other clinicians. Presenting an image which projects Carrier as a leader in the provision of treatment in addiction and behavioral health with priority placed on maintaining census development through active field marketing efforts. This position requires in-person marketing calls within defined geographic locations throughout the state.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Clinical Marketing Liaison at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

 

1. Generates new business leads and pursues prospective referral sources with a regional/territory focus on all of the following service lines: Adolescent, Older Adult, Adult Psychiatric, Blake Recovery Center, Retreat and Recovery at Ramapo Valley, East Mountain Youth Lodge, East Mountain School, and Carrier Clinic Behavioral Health at Raritan Bay.
2. Establishes liaison and makes regular visits to above-named referral sources, actively marketing Carrier's psychiatric and addiction recovery services.
3. Key liaison to area hospitals, outpatient providers, and other designated providers to market the specialized mental health and addiction services offered as part of Carrier Clinic Behavioral Health. Including: Carrier Clinic, Carrier Clinic Behavioral Health at Raritan Bay, Retreat and Recovery at Ramapo Valley.
4. Receive referral inquiries from providers, facilities, or any customer source.
5. Meet with patients and families to discuss the Admission process, anticipated treatment, expected outcome and financial implications.
6. Communicate transfer, admission, clinical and financial information to appropriate admissions staff members. Ensure that the facility is prepared for the admission.
7. Work with Admissions to assist in facilitation of patient placement based on clinical services needed, bed availability, patient/family preference, geographic location, etc.
8. Assist facility staff with the basic information on admission.
9. Utilizes laptop, scanner, and other technology to assist with the admission process.
10. Conduct regular visits to referring hospitals to build and maintain relationships with Discharge Planners, Case Managers, Physicians and others to ensure that Carrier Clinic is responding promptly and is meeting their psychiatric and addiction patients. Additionally, regular visits should serve as an educational service in which the hospital learns of the Carrier Clinic's new, enhanced or existing services and capabilities.
11.Coordinate tours of Carrier Clinic, Blake Recovery Center, Retreat and Recovery at Ramapo Valley, and Carrier Clinic Behavioral Health at Raritan Bay for referral sources.
12. Participate in Mental Health and Addiction focused Trade Shows and Conferences in both a statewide and local territory level.
13. Serves on hospital committees as appointed.
14. Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
15. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Master's degree in Counseling, or a related field.
2. Minimum of three years post MSW/MA clinical psychiatric experience in a hospital or behavioral health care facility.
3. Minimum of three years Marketing/Business Development experience.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.

 

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

1. Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), NJ Licensed Social Worker (LSW), NJ Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or NJ Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC).
2. Mental health and addiction experience.

Starting Minimum Rate

Minimum rate of $68,473.60 Annually

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
