Administration of the Schools of Nursing, Medical Imaging and Therapeutic Sciences in accordance with the bylaws of the respective Faculty Organizations, and the philosophy and objectives of each curriculum; guidance of faculty and students; and maintenance of each School's integrity in the Medical Center and the community.
1. Approve the definition of responsibilities and authority for all personnel in each School. Coordinate the activities of each School with other Medical Center departments. Interview prospective faculty and staff members. Participate in orientation of new faculty and staff members. Appoint faculty members to Medical Center and College Committees. Chair the Faculty Organization Committee. Carry out the functions of the Chairperson, School of Nursing Faculty Organization, as stated in the bylaws of that organization.
2. Analyze and evaluate the implementation of the curriculum of each School for its relevance to sound educational theory and to the Philosophy and Objectives of the Program. Provide guidance for faculty in the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum. Assist faculty in each School with the implementation of a Systematic Evaluation of the Program. Provide guidance for students in academic and para-academic areas.
3. Prepare and administer the annual budget for each School. Prepare Annual Reports.
4. Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
5. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Doctoral degree or Master's degree in an appropriate discipline and currently pursuing Doctoral education.
2. Minimum of ten (10) years professional experience with minimum three years teaching experience and three years management experience.
