The Manager, Revenue Analytics is responsible for the completion of Hackensack Meridian Health's (HMH) monthly revenue and accounts receivable analysis, as well as working with respective hospital site directors in preparing and analyzing statistical analysis and preparing the annual revenue budget within their assigned region. Job responsibilities include all financial aspects of HMH's goal of achieving growth through analysis of revenue. Additional responsibilities include all operational matters affecting the preparation and reporting of monthly financial statements, budgeting, audit coordination, internal controls compliance, PeopleSoft general ledger build & maintenance, etc.

A day in the life of a Manager, Revenue Analytics at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

• Produces the financial data needed to complete the monthly revenue projections.
• Reviews and analyzes the hospital patient accounts receivable and revenue on a monthly basis, as well as analysis of variances and trends for presentation to senior management.
• Prepares and reconciles the monthly hospital statistics both inpatient & outpatient.
• Explains monthly and year-to-date variances and fluctuations (actual-to-budget / actual-to-prior year) using statistical, financial, and operational data.
• Responsible for the timely completion of the monthly Finance Committee presentation package, including providing technical support on the automated functions.
• Completes and monitors HMH's annual revenue budget, including correlation to statistical budgets (admissions, observations, same day surgeries and outpatient visits), and applies appropriate spreading methodology throughout the year.
• Perform and present highly complex financial analysis to senior management.
• Performs financial forecasting; Analyzes trends, costs, revenues to predict future revenues.
• Acts as point person with internal and external auditors on all revenue, accounts receivable and third party issues, drafting up all memos to support methodology for which analyses are built.
• Manages the general accounting function specific to hospital-based revenue and oversees outsourced accounting functions, if applicable; Ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.
• Maintains highly detailed work papers in a paperless work environment.
• Supervises, trains, assists, reviews, and provides back-up support to Accounting Staff, and promotes continuous quality improvement.
• Supervises all outside consultants who participate in the revenue valuation process.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
• Adheres to HMH's Organizational and Managerial competencies and standards of behavior.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field.
• Seven or more years of hospital finance experience in a hospital or CPA environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of GAAP.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Must be highly computer literate, including advanced use of Excel.
• Must be able to establish effective working relationships with Senior Management and Staff at all levels of the organization.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Master's degree in Finance or Certified Professional Accountant (CPA).
• Supervisory experience in an Accounting/Finance Department.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

• Master's degree in Finance or Certified Professional Accountant (CPA).

Minimum rate of $133,120 Annually

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
